Public Commitments

Our relationship with sustainability is in the company’s strategy and therefore includes a series of commitments fundamental to the development of the company, planet, and society. We study our own processes and our clients’ as well to bring more efficiency, reduce the environmental take and add to the social action.

Get to know some of our main commitments that we set in this sense:

Gender equity

To transform engineering is to also transform the relations in the gender matter. In a market where men predominate, Allonda is proud of its politics to motivate the participation of women in all teams, including constructions leadership.

To measure our progress in this front, we’ve established the gender diversity that must be achieved until 2022:

  • Level up from 10% to 20% of women professionals in constructions;
  • Achieve complete equity (50%) of women in offices;
  • Guarantee the presence of at least one woman in each of our operations;
  • Reach 33% of women’s presence on the Board of Directors;
  • Implement development actions of women’s leadership.

In 2020 our efforts were recognized by the WILL award, hosted by the Women in Leadership Latin America NGO, with emphasis in the category “Construction”. This achievement shows were on the right path for the effective promotion of gender equity in our activities.

To strengthen even more our equity actions, Allonda became a member of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPS), created by the UN Women and by the Global Compact. The initiative has as its purpose to empower women and promote gender equity in all our social and economic activities.

Below, you can check the seven Women’s Empowerment Principles established by UN Women and by the Global Comact:

  • Establish high-level corporate leadership for gender equality;
  • Treat all women and men fairly at work – respect and support human rights and nondiscrimination;
  • Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all women and men workers;
  • Promote education, training and professional development for women;
  • Implement enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women;
  • Promote equality through community initiatives and advocacy;
  • Measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality.

Diversity and inclusion

With the promotion of diversity in vision, from 2020 on, Allonda started the structuring of groups, formed by associates, to discuss and propose solutions in questions related to:

  • Race
  • Gender
  • Accessibility
  • LGBTQIA+

In addition to the goals already set for gender equality, we’re mapping the demands of such public to, from then on, develop actions and set commitment capable of transforming our company in a place increasingly more friendly to these groups, diverse, and inclusive.

Human Rights

Through our system of social responsibility, we seek to meet duties related to the respect of universal human rights, protection of children and adolescents, and fulfillment of labor rights. We identify those attributions, whether they derive from legal or underwritten origin, we determine adequate actions to train and raise awareness in our people and associates.

This tool observes the following principles of social responsibility:

  • Meeting of applicable requirements in its social performance
  • Respect to international norms of behavior
  • Respect to human rights

  • Prevention of adverse social impacts

To secure the fulfillment of all duties related to this aspect, Allonda has an open communication channel to all public, in which is possible to present complains and/or concern with workers and other interested parts. From here on, we commit to investigate and apply possible correction or accountability if violations are successfully identified.

ODS Agenda

Mitigating risks in the elaboration of the project, execution, and operation. In Allonda, we believe that to put in the center of decisions economic, social, and environmental aspects is to have sustainability in a practical way happening in strategies of the company. In addition to the engineering solutions already being conceived in the concept of the triple bottom line, all KPIs – in 100% of the areas of the company – are squared up in the pillars of sustainability. That is, we facilitate more than punctual projects of socioenvironmental and economic nature. Our business is measured by an objective and clear way inside green parameters.

We already contribute in an effective way with the dissemination of the Objectives on Sustainable Development by UN. That’s because sustainability is in the company’s strategy, not only not execute its actives reasoned on the triple bottom line, but also to promote socially responsible initiatives in 100 of our operations.

Recycling and reuse of waste

The concept of circular economy feed all activities in Allonda. Inside this context, we are always seeking ways to value waste and effluents in the projects we execute – whether it is by the volume reduction or storage and transportation, or reuse. We work to prevent pollution from being generated by our activities, with emphasis in the green use of natural resources.

One of our inventions in this sense is the treatment of rainwater and by the solutions based in nature, that promote benefits such as landscaping harmony, environmental recovery, reuse of water for use in gardens and possible recharge of the aquifer.

Besides, looking inside our offices, we act with the objective of becoming “Zero Garbage”, that is, send to landfills only waste that does not contain any kind of reuse and new cycle.
